What is SideSpace?

SideSpace is an exclusive marketplace that connects people with unused space to the people who need it. It allows people with extra space to offer it for rent or sale through categories (Lodging, Parking, Storage, Land, Workspace, Jobspace, Rideshare). It allows people seeking a cheap and affordable way to find space a free way to find it.

Is it Free?

Yes, this is a completely FREE site. All parts of the site are entirely free. It is free to join, search, browse and post listings. Featured and Premier Listings are offered to all users who seek additional marketing exposure. These are available for a small fee.

Why Offer Space?

To generate some extra income for yourself and make good use of space you are not using or would like to fill.

How do I offer space?

Click "Offer Space" anywhere on the site and input all your listing information. You must be a registered user, and if you are not, click “Join”, and register completely free.

FINDING SPACE

Why Find Space?

Whether you need storage space, a place to park, a place to stay, a job, or more, you can find cheap space here completely free. Why do in any other way?

How do I find space?

You can use our mini search form on the main page and search by category, zip code, keyword or zip code mile proximity. Or you can perform an advanced search using the advanced search form found in "Find Space".

How much can I make?

The Sky is the limit! You can make as much as you like.

What are Featured Listings?

Featured listings are displayed on the main category and subcategory pages. The fee is $5 for 30 days with auto-renewal option.

What are Premier Listings?

Premier listings are displayed on the main frontpage of the website, the most highly trafficked page on the site. The fee is $15 for 30 days with auto-renewal option.

What is Title Bolding?

Title Bolding allows the posting to have the titled in complete bold, therefore drawing more attention to your listing. Example: "Now available, extra bedroom in 3 bedroom condo – San Diego, CA". The fee is $2 for 30 days with auto-renewal option.

What is better placement?

Better placement allows the posting to have a higher placement on search results. The fee is $2 is for 30 days with auto-renewal option.

How long are listings posted?

Basic listing can be posted for as long as the user wants, but must be renewed every 90 days. Featured and Premier listings expire in 30 days unless auto-renewal has been chosen.

Where is space located?

Currently, SideSpace offers a marketplace for all zip codes in the U.S., U.K., and Canada. We plan to add worldwide capability in the future.

How do I cancel a listing?

Login to SideSpace. Select "My account". Click "My listings". Select listing a click "Cancel listing".

How do I edit my listing?

Login to SideSpace. Select "My account". Click "My listings". Select listing a click "Edit listing".

How do I edit my account info?

Login to SideSpace. Select “My account”. Click “Edit account”.

How do I upgrade my listing?

Login to SideSpace. Select “My account”. Click “My listings”. Select listing a click “Upgrade listing”.

How do I extend my listing before or after expiration?

Login to SideSpace. Select “My account”. Click “My listings”. Select listing a click “Extend listing”.

How do I change my payment method?

After you have paid for you listing, the transaction is complete. To change the payment method, you can select a different payment method for future listings.

SECURITY

How do I enter into a secure legal agreement with a tenant, purchaser, or employee?

SideSpace is not responsible for assisting in the transaction process and is not authorized to make legal or contractual advice. For assistance many basic lease and sale agreements can be found online. We suggest that you perform your own research and due diligence to find the correct one for you and protect yourself, or obtain a legal professional to draft one, review it, or for advice.

Is my information on this site protected and secure?

Our site is protected via secure servers. Any information you post on listings should be expected to be viewed by the public. Only put information about yourself or location that you are comfortable having the user community view. Any credit card information is protected via Paypal transaction security policies.
